I have started reading a lot since the kindle purchase last year. I always thought non-fiction is a boring stuff and could never read it. But Malcom Gladwell changed my mind, I read "Outlier"and "Blink" and was surprised that non-fiction stuff can be interesting too.
I have read more non-fiction stuff in last 3-4 months than ever in my life. Now I am reading 3 books at the same time. All can be categorized as non-fiction. I have never attempted this kind of reading before and really not sure if its the best way to read and enjoy books. My philosophy has been to read a book "cover to cover" before starting another. Here is the list of the books I am reading now
- On writing well : The Classic Guide to Writing Nonfiction By Willam Zinsser
- Incognito : The Secret Lives of the Brain By David Eagleman
- I'm Feeling Lucky: The Confessions of Google Employee Number 59 by Douglas Edwards
I am not sure how much time it will take to finish these books and if it is a good idea to read more than one book at a time. But I will find it soon.
UPDATE: I have finished reading "Incognito" and "I'm Feeling Lucky". Finished them on 17th March.
