I know this is insane and at several levels insane too. I have accepted the risks and consequences as mine for this act. I need to get in shape in any case and this challenge might prove to be the catalyst I had been waiting for years. Now is the time to seize the moment and pounce on it.
There are really 3 areas to work on.
Diet - Its the main ingredient when trying to lose pounds. If you can't control it forget about losing even a single gram. Need to plan meals every day and follow them without too many deviations. This also includes drinking issues. No more beers or drinks for next 2 months.
Exercise - Need to plan proper workouts. Weight training takes precedence over cardio. But I will mix and match both. Will do cardio by cycling in the morning and weight training in the evening. Also will take long walks every evening.
Move :- Need to move as much as I can. This will ensure that I have a very high metabolic rate. Moving includes frequent breaks while on work as well as lot of household chores. Washing / cleaning /shopping etc. Need to make sure I am not resting when I should not be.
Rest :- This also one of the most important part of the program. Need to make sure I take sufficient rest and sleep. 7 hrs minimum. This will take care of fatigue and tiredness.
So the plan is simple keep moving and follow diet with sufficient rest. But as someone has said
"The problem with simple things is they are not so simple."
