Had a good run after a very long time. I haven't run in many months probably not a single run in last 6-7 Months. There is a reason for today's run though. I have read "Born to Run" by Christopher McDougall. The book is about a Tribe called "Tarumahara" in the copper-canyons of Mexico. These people are "Running People", They are like super athelets running distances more than 100 miles a day. The book revolves around these people and writers own quest of finding a true way to run faster and without injury. The book is a great read, it talks about running as a meditation and something that makes you happy. I highly recommend it to everyone. Reading this book has again revivied the old bug of running in me.
Today's run was awesome, I was trying to not to push hard but I realised that trying not to do something is also doing something and to achieve the meditative state while running you practice no doing.. Its a reference to Zen I know but it's true if I can just learn to let go of all tension in my body and just flow into my run I will enjoy it immensly. And Thats what I am after. I will keep running on running till I find my tao of running and then will enjoy running even more.
